Government Lies and Deception

Like
many others, this writer grew up enjoying Hollywood movies. Like others, one of my favorite actors was
John Wayne. While many Wayne fans knew
he was a very tall man at about 6 feet, 4 inches, few of us realized the
problem this presented in making his movies. In contrast to the all American Wayne, I also
used to watch the TV series Bonanza. In
Bonanza all of the key players were very short men.
So
how did Hollywood react? Tall men had an
edge for a role in the Wayne movies and the Bonanza producers had to constantly
find short actors to play in the series.
And why does this make a difference?
Can you imagine a short actor in a fist fight with the big, tall,
hulking John Wayne? If Wayne beat up a
little, short guy, he would have quickly lost his following.
Yet
sometimes, there was a slip up and little guys did get roles opposite Wayne or
tall men could get a role opposite one of Bonanza’s Cartwrights. Of course, directors knew all of the trade
secrets on how to manipulate the appearance of actors on the screen and even in
fight scenes. Little guys could stand on
an elevated platform when appearing opposite a taller person. Thus, there was a need to alter the height of
actors before the camera.
Years
ago, there was a fairly short actor named Dana Andrews. He had a lead role opposite big Jane Russell
in a western. Dana had a couple of kiss
scenes with big Jane. Inevitably, he was
shown much taller than Jane in shots of their heads and shoulders. In other scenes when they were together in a
full length shot, it often appeared that Jane was taller than Dana. So what did the director do to alter
truth? My guess is that he had Dana
stand on a box or platform in the kiss Jane shots. Of course, the camera would never show the
truth and reality on how the problem was addressed.
The WWII
Experience
I
grew up in the Rosenfeldt (alias Roosevelt) years. Since my father and mother were FDR fans and
voted for him every time, I, too, wore one of his campaign buttons to vote for
FDR. Being a small ignorant boy, what
was I to know about the greatest liar and con man in presidential history? Slick Clinton was a liar but the difference
between him and FDR was that FDR was clever, smart, cunning and tough. Clinton had few of these characteristics (and
George W. Bush had even fewer than Clinton).
When
the Japanese attack took place on Dec 7, 1941, I was just like almost all other
Americans (though I was a seven-year old boy).
Because of the media and Hollywood, I quickly hated the “Japs” for their
sneak attack on us at Pearl Harbor.
Today, as a 75-year old man, I know more than I knew in 1941. Rather than the dirty “Japs” and their sneak
attack, I think the better truth is the dirty FDR and his cunning, clever manipulation
of the unsuspecting Japanese to bring about their attack.
I
am fully persuaded that from the broken Japanese diplomatic and military codes,
Washington and FDR knew almost everything there was to know about the pending
Japanese attack. FDR was about as guilty
perpetuating the attack as the Japanese were in doing it. The reason is because of the embargo and
other hostile acts which FDR initiated against Japan. In other words, it was not just a total stab
in the back by Japan. There were
circumstances preceding the attack.
Like
FDR said--If it happens in politics, it was planned that way. If a fair and objective person wants to do a
little research he can easily come up with the reality that FDR and his
plutocratic colleagues began planning WWII as early as 1933 when he took over
the office of president. After all, FDR
and his buddies all wanted a war with the famous Jew leader Adolf Schicklgruber
(alias Hitler). Since the American
people didn’t want another world war, the problem for FDR was how to bring it
about. His plan was to use Japan. And he succeeded.
Still
today, many of the documents, dispatches and archives associated with the
Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor remain classified with security classifications. One must wonder why. Surely the Japanese know what was in their
dispatches and messages. The only people
who still do not know are the American citizens.
Some
years ago, the newly established Russian government gave Bill “Slick” Clinton a
copy of their files on the John F. Kennedy assassination. Clinton immediately socked a security classification
on the documents and said that they would not be released until US authorities
could “study” them. That was some
fifteen years ago and they still have not been made public (as for as I know
and believe). Surely, the Russians knew
what was in the files. So what possible
need could there be for a security classification on them?
It
should not take any brains or an IQ above a single digit to know at once that
the problems in these cases and thousands more like them does not exist to keep
information secret from foreigners.
Actually, the problem is keeping information secret from the American
people.
The UFO Thing
The Unidentified
Flying Object phenomenon started on June 24, 1947 when a pilot named Kenneth
Arnold was flying over the Cascades. He
saw a group of some unidentified flying objects flying over the mountain tops
near Mount Rainier. He called them
flying saucers.
Though it has
been true that an investigation of many reports of “unidentified flying
objects” can account for some UFO sighting (in the context of something logical
and reasonable--like swamp gases, stars, planets, meteors, meteorites,
airplanes, weather balloons and so forth), many sightings remain a puzzle and a
mystery (thus, they are truly “unidentified”).
Also, another
strange event (or several events) occurred later that summer (in 1947) near
Roswell, New Mexico; when, at least one or more alleged “UFOs” crashed and
reportedly left some bodies of possible “aliens.” This incident gained enormous notoriety because
of the way it was handled by the US government.
Roswell is near a
US air base where Major Jesse Marcel was the intelligence officer in 1947. Upon reports of the crash, he went to the
site and made an investigation. Truly,
it was a space vehicle which he had never seen before. Possibly, there were a couple of strange
appearing bodies recovered. The crash
site area was immediately secured by the Air Force (actually Army Air Corps in
those days). Marcel went back to the
base and made his report. The base
Public Information Officer released a press statement on the crash of a UFO
near Roswell.
In the meantime,
authorities in Washington found out about the incident and ordered some
backtracking by military personnel. Soon,
military officials released a statement that the crash finds near Roswell were
nothing but a weather balloon. In later
years, the Air Force modified its position and defined the crash artifact as a
“high altitude” weather balloon.
Commencing in
1947, and up to 1969, the US Air Force undertook several so-called
investigation programs on UFOs (i.e. Project Sign, Project Grudge and Project
Blue Book). Reportedly, these efforts
really proved nothing significant one way or the other.
Since 1969, the
official US government position is that there are no such things as UFOs. Presumably, all sightings can be
explained--per US authorities. Whatever
information and data the government has on this theme remains highly
classified. Therefore, one can’t be sure
of whether the government knows what it’s talking about or not. And since the public has been told little or
nothing about the phenomena, there is nothing but speculation on what is involved.
Presidents since
Harry Truman have allowed the confusion and outright deception to
continue--though an oversight group was appointed by Truman called “Majestic
12,” to oversee the issue (at least, in his days). To whatever extent the US or other
governments have understood the UFO topic, secrecy rules have usually come into
place to restrict the information from the public (excepting France, which
became more open in 2000). Thus, the US
government has not been prepared to level with the public (in the confluence of
disclosure versus secrecy). This is a
normal government reaction.
For whatever
reason, the controlled American media and the gullible American people have willingly
accepted whatever Washington has said about the whole UFO subject without a whimper
of a protest. About the only media
source tackling the UFO stories has been rense.com and the coast to coast AM
radio program. These sources will
generally tackle stories others won’t touch.
The JFK Murder
Perhaps one of
the most outrageous frauds perpetuated upon the American people occurred in Nov
1963 with the murder of US president John F. Kennedy. There were so many lies and acts of deception
involved in the cover-up of the Kennedy murder that it is impossible in this
short article to begin to cover them.
Suffice to say,
the Warren Commission was the prime cover-up agency. And President Lyndon Johnson led the cover-up
in the executive branch. I don’t propose
spending any time of this topic here, except to offer a few observations from
the words of Parkland Hospital in Dallas and the doctors who worked on Kennedy in
the Parkland Emergency Room.
Although a later US Navy autopsy in Washington was a joke,
which served to help the Warren Commission cover-up, an honest Dr Charles
Crenshaw of Dallas worked on Kennedy in the emergency room at Parkland Hospital
in 1963. He publicly confirmed that JFK
was shot at least two times from the front, once into his neck and the last
fatal shot into the right front temple of his head--plus being shot from
behind. The doctor published his first
hand report on what happened in a 1992 book “JFK: Conspiracy of Silence.”
Crenshaw died in late November 2001. “Time” magazine for Dec 3, 2001 (p. 23), had
a short report on the death of Crenshaw and his long contention that Kennedy
was shot from both the front and back.
There were two entrance wounds at the front. The doctor, who was an emergency room eye
witness, plainly indicated an involvement of two or more gunmen.
As “Time” suggested, Crenshaw’s eye witness report and his
book were “controversial.” Is this not a
peculiar reaction from the controlled media in assessing the remarks of the
emergency room doctor who worked on Kennedy at Parkland Hospital just after the
shooting? But Crenshaw’s words had
confirmation from other informed people at Parkland.
The other emergency room doctors present at Parkland all saw
the same thing. There was never any
conflict or controversy between the Parkland Hospital doctors and personnel on
what happened. The only point of
confusion surfaced when the Navy autopsy doctors (working under military
orders) and the ridiculous Warren Commission addressed the subject.
The admission record at Parkland Hospital was signed by Dr
Robert McClelland. It described the
cause of death as a massive head and brain injury from a gunshot wound of the
right temple (“On the Trail of the Assassin,” p. 92).
White House Press Secretary Malcolm Kilduff gave a press
briefing at the hospital at 1:30 PM to announce Kennedy’s death. He said that the fatal bullet entered the
President’s right temple and then he pointed it out on television with his hand
and finger. Other witnesses at
Parkland--William Newman, Marilyn Sitzman and Highway Patrolman Hurchal
Jacks--were on the newscasts that day and all three of them described the front
right temple entrance wound (“Best Evidence,” p. 330).
The fatal bullet was a wound to the right front temple and a
large exit from the back of the head. In
terms of the throat wound, Dr Malcolm Perry, who did the emergency tracheotomy
on Kennedy, said at a Parkland press conference at about 2:20 PM that day that
the front throat wound was also an entry wound (“Best Evidence,” p. 702).
Despite the mountain of evidence of conspiracy and two or
more shooters from both the front and back in Dallas that day, the world was
told a story of absolute fiction and nonsense about a lone Communist nut named
Lee Harvey Oswald who singularly killing JFK.
Question, how could anyone be dumb enough to believe that crap? Well, with all of the disclosures over the
years, it takes some single digit IQs and people interested in buying a bridge
in Brooklyn to support the official spin.
More Serious Matters
I mention these
events on FDR, WWII, UFOs and JFK not to reopen them for discussion
herein. Frankly, none of these cases are
the theme of this study.
But they are
relevant because our government regularly lies to us and works overtime to
deceive and mislead us on any number of things—including the most notorious
lies and deceptions of all time in addressing the US economy and US monetary
system. Thus, if we were lied to about FDR,
JFK, Pearl Harbor and UFOs, as we were, it pales into insignificance in terms
of how Washington regularly/daily lies to us about our money, the US economy
and our future.
In several
Goldsmiths articles (here in the archives at www.analysis-news.com), I have already
addressed the US lies told us for the last 20 years or so on the official
inflation rate, the consumer price index and the producer’s price index.
In particular,
the Goldsmiths, Part XXIX, specifically addressed the voodoo US inflation
statistics and how Washington alters these numbers to keep COLA payments down
and to deceive and mislead foreign nations about the true status of inflation
in the US economy (in order to keep the foreigners dumbed down so they will
continue to buy US government bonds and paper).
Thus, our real US
inflation rate has been clicking along at something near 15 to 20% per annum
all the while that the US government has been telling us that the rate is only
2 to 3% per annum.
Even recently,
Washington statisticians have been busy cooking their books and telling us that
we actually have been experiencing deflation in consumer and producer prices in
late 2008. True, gas prices are down at
the pump. But there’s not much more down
(the reason is that much of the US inflation is tied to high labor costs which
do not go down and can’t go down because of minimum wage laws, step increases
and union contracts).
For another classic
illustration of outright government lies, one can check the statistics furnished
the public from the US Dept of Agriculture.
I have had some interest in food production.
In 2007, I recall
the US government and the controlled media floating constant stories about food
production downfalls, shortages of food and food riots around the world. As soon as the manipulators spiked food
prices up in the winter of 2007-2008, they were ready to change their pace and
began the collapse so that they could make a barrel of profits on the way
down.
In the spring,
Bush sold $200 million worth of US wheat from the Bill Emerson Food Trust on
the open market. And quickly, we began reading
stories about the super production of food coming down the pike in 2008.
One story I
remember was that the world was now “awash” in wheat. We were told that Australian wheat production
was up 90%. Of course, these stories, coupled
with the Bush sales, meant that prices started collapsing down. By late 2008, wheat at $13 was down to $5;
corn at $8 was down to $3 and soybeans at $18 were down to $8. And by the way, the Australian harvest expectations
have steadily went down over the last five months.
In terms of
official US gold statistics, the picture is even more dismal. I addressed this theme in the Goldsmiths,
part XVII, in which I addressed official gold statistics from around the
world.
For the US and
its “official” report of 8,136.2 tons of gold, I wrote: “Starting in the late 1960s and continuing on
until the 1980s, a number of prominent Americans began to question the official
US government and Fed news releases about the status of the US gold
supply--most of which was allegedly secured in vaults at Fort Knox, KY. The following comments are taken from a
related story at apf.net.
“In his book on
“Critical Path,” the well known and respected Buckminister Fuller argued that
most or all of the gold allegedly stored at Fort Knox had been whisked out of
the US by the late 1960s. Journalist Tom
Valentine picked up on the story in the 1970s and said that all of the
world-trade gold had been removed from Fort Knox in 1968, leaving behind only
some poor quality, orangish-looking, melted down, gold coin metal from the
government seizure of 1934.
“Also, in the
1970s, a vey intelligent and perceptive man named Edward Durrell began looking
at the official US and Fed statistics and data on gold. He did some simple arithmetic of starting
with the alleged balances and adding and subtracting additions and
removals. Inevitably, he kept coming up
with ending balance numbers which did not equal the alleged balances per the US
authorities.
“Durrell went to
the authorities and even members of Congress with demands for an explanation of
why the numbers didn’t add up. As can be
expected, he was given the run-around and brush-off. The government and Fed were totally
belligerent and nasty and refused to cooperate with Durrell. His efforts accomplished little beyond
alerting some of us that we were being grossly lied to by authorities. But as was true with others, Durrell did
establish that some major US gold holdings did vanish in late 1967 and
1968. He thought the gold went to
London.
“However the most
prominent person to speak out on the missing gold was Dr Peter Beter
(1921-1987), who was an official with the US government during the rule of JFK
in the early 1960s. As was true with
others, Beter claimed that most of the Fort Knox gold had been removed and was
no longer stored there.
“Beter’s
assertions prompted a Congressional visit to Fort Knox to see if the gold was
there as claimed. The Treasury showed
the Congressmen a couple of vaults containing some melted down gold coins. That was enough to pacify the gullible
voters. So the question died out.
“To get his
message out, Beter released a series of audio tapes from 1975 to 1982. While they were good on addressing the gold
question, some of them transitioned into some pretty far out and kooky ideas
which would go on to discredit almost everything Beter had said.
“And the latest
questions have surfaced in a report from the Free Market Gold & Money
Report #288 (from fmgr.com). This one
notes a so-called smoking gun in a discovery of a discrepancy between two
different Federal Reserve reports, supposedly on the status of the US gold
reserve supplies.
“In the details,
the Fed balance sheet showed it owned gold certificates of 261.6 million ounces
of gold. In another Fed report, it
showed the believed same gold was listed as the US Treasury’s international
monetary assets. The conclusion drawn
was that this same gold was doing double duty—both with the Fed and with the US
Treasury. But in going on with its
findings, the report said that the exact amounts of gold were slightly
different on the two reports.
“Apparently, the
correct US gold reserve with the Treasury included gold with the Exchange
Stabilization fund (which allegedly may be used for gold swaps [as cited by the
FOMC] and gold market manipulations). To
add to the confusion, the Treasury in 2001 reclassified its gold reserves by
saying that the US gold at Fort Knox, West Point (earlier called Custodial
Gold) and other depositories is now called Deep Storage Gold (instead of US
Gold Reserve or Custodial Gold).
“To add still
more to the confusion, the NY Fed also stores some gold in NY that is
ostensibly owned by foreign banks. The
involved article set this figure at 9,235 ounces in 2001. Regardless of the source for the movement of
gold from NY to overseas destinations, large amounts of gold reportedly have
been leaving the US monthly (which, per the report is gold from the IMF or the
US Treasury).
“I don’t pretend
to be able to decipher this mess which the Free Market letter revealed. But as minimum, it is a confusing bag of
worms. And as the report concluded, the
US officials have been lying about the truth and reality of US gold.
“But I have
mentioned it here in context with the reports from Messers Durrell, Beter, etc
to demonstrate that there is much skullduggery associated with the real US gold
supply, whatever level it is. So the
questions are—what is the amount of US gold owned by the government/Fed; what
is it called; and where is it stored?
“My own gut
feeling is that there have been so many lies and deceptive reports from the Fed
and US Treasury that one simply cannot depend upon their numbers. It would take a periodic audit and physical
count by a responsible, independent, third party to ever be able to put any
credence into any figures on US gold. At
the moment, I would not dare suggest how much gold the US has at all.”
And More
Then, in 2008, we
had one of the most incredible stack of lies ever issued from Washington. That year, we had constant media reports from
Fed Chairman Ben Bernanki and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson that the US
economy was not in a recession. Finally,
in Dec 2008, the official research institute measuring the US economy publicly
disclosed that the US had been in a recession since Dec 2007. In other words, we were lied to all year by
US officials.
To this list of
US government lies to the dumb sheep, we can go on to almost any and all US government
offices where the same stories surface over and over. We are lied to regularly and it becomes out
of the question to even attempt to get any truthful answers from Washington. In terms of employment statistics, money, and
gross national product and on and on, the government pumps out lies and
deception. They expect all of us to be
so stupid that we believe whatever they say.
The bottom line
here for us is to be very careful about anything which comes from Washington. Chances are it is founded on lies and
deception.
